The Wealth Coach

Why Evoa?

We don't have a shortage of answers.

Google can find almost anything.

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can explain complicated subjects in seconds.

And when you need professional advice, there are financial advisers, accountants and lawyers ready to provide it.

There has never been more information available to us.

The difficult bit is knowing what all of it means for you.

Imagine you're worried about inheritance tax.

You've Googled it. You've asked ChatGPT. You've read a few articles.

You now know far more than you did before.

But you're still wondering:

What does all this mean for me?

You could see a professional.

But perhaps you're not ready for that yet. You're not even sure whether you need advice, or what you would ask.

That's why we built Evoa.

A conversation before advice.

Evoa doesn't begin by trying to solve the problem.

She begins by trying to understand what you're thinking.

Suppose you say:

I've been told I should give some money to my children to save inheritance tax. Should I?

Evoa might begin:

What's made you start thinking about giving the money away now?

That's a very different conversation.

Because before talking about tax rules, investments or solutions, there may be something more important to understand.

That's what the conversation is for.

Bring what you've already got.

You don't have to start from scratch.

Tell Evoa what you've read.

Paste in what ChatGPT or Claude told you.

Tell her what your financial adviser has recommended.

Show her the question your accountant has raised.

Or simply tell her what's bothering you.

The answer you've already got might be perfectly good.

Evoa helps you think about what it means for you.

Sometimes professional advice is exactly what you need.

Evoa isn't there to replace your financial adviser, accountant or solicitor.

Talking something through may help you understand what you need help with and what you want to ask.

Clarity before advice.

A different kind of second opinion.

A second opinion has traditionally meant asking another professional for another answer.

Sometimes that's exactly what you need.

But sometimes you don't need another answer.

You need somewhere to think about the answer you've already got.

It doesn't matter whether that answer came from Google, ChatGPT, your wealth manager, your accountant, your solicitor or somebody you trust.

Before you act on it, you can talk it through.

Try it with something real.

Don't test Evoa with something you already know the answer to.

Give her something you're genuinely uncertain about.

Something you've been putting off.

Something somebody has advised you to do.

Or an answer you've already received that you're not quite sure about.

Then see where the conversation goes.

Before you act, talk it through.
